Spring Forward
Spring Forward is a yearly event put on by the Department of Communication at Appalachian State University. The goal of this event is to connect alumni to current students to discuss life post-grad.

Director of Campus Communications
In 2023, I served as the Director of Campus Communications for Spring Forward. In this role I was responsible for connecting faculty, staff, and students to the event. I developed and implemented a brand kit for the event that allowed it to have consistent promotional materials. Using this brand kit, I oversaw the creation of all social media materials, ensuring everything was consistent. Lastly, I connected with outside organizations (such as StickBoy Kitchen and Venture Wine and Chocolate Bar) to cater the event. Below are some of the graphics my team and I created for the event.
Event Director
In 2024, I served as the overall event director for Spring Forward. In this role I illustrated the success of the event from start to finish. Each day I was responsible for connecting with alumni, overseeing the creation of media graphics, having continuous communication with participants, and ensuring everyone on my team was on track for the event. On the day of the event I was responsible for greeting all participants, moderating speaking panels, keeping the event on time, and making sure everything was running smoothly.
